The aluminum trim coil is 0.016" thick and available in our most popular color, the one-side Colonial White trim coil is pre-rolled in a 24” by 50’ coil and shipped in robust cardboard packaging. What color is the trim coil? Can I paint over it?
RiteScreen’s trim coil is one-sided, with the standard white color on the front side. The white finish is the style depended upon for a majority of RiteScreen’s replacement window frames and patio door frames. The aluminum trim coil can be painted, though it should be noted that manipulating the trim in any way will make it non-returnable.
Does the trim coil come in different colors? Can I special order colors?
The trim coil is only available in our standard white, painted on one side. As of now, there are no other colors available. We don’t offer specialty color orders for this product.
What is the thickness/gauge?
Our aluminum trim coil comes in Standard Poly .016" thickness.
Can I bend this without flaking? If so, does it require special equipment.
RiteScreen’s aluminum trim coil can be bent to a 0T bend without fracturing, making it a highly functional option for contractors with the need. For the best results, it is recommended to bend the trim coil using a metal brake.
What is the difference between PVC aluminum trim coil and regular aluminum trim coil?
Economy and standard aluminum trim coil options are painted with polyester paint. PVC trim coil is not painted – instead, it is coated with PVC. This costs more and is sold as a premium product. We currently only offer standard aluminum trim coil, preferred by contractors in the field and DIYers at home!
